An action packed mystery adventure based on Gosho Aoyama’s DETECTIVE CONAN (also known as CASE CLOSED), one of the highest-selling manga of all time and one of Japan’s most recognisable pop-culture icons, DETECTIVE CONAN: THE MILLION-DOLLAR PENTAGRAM was 2024’s highest-grossing film in Japan. In this latest standalone feature film, fans will finally uncover the truth behind Kid the Phantom Thief, the fan favourite rival of our prodigious private eye. When Kid lays claim to a sword that once belonged to a famous member of the Shinsengumi, the jewel thief’s sudden interest in historical artefacts grabs the attention of Conan, throwing them both into a thrilling melting pot of murder, unsolved mysteries from the Edo period, and a weapon that could change the course of war.

Often referred to as a “modern day Sherlock Holmes”, Gosho Aoyama’s series draws inspiration from the world’s greatest mystery writers like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Edogawa Rampo. Synopsis

Shinichi Kudo was a brilliant high school detective until one day he was turned into a child by the mysterious Black Organization. Taking on a new identity as Conan Edogawa to protect those close to him, Conan now pursues the Black Organization in hopes of finding the cure to bring him back to his teenage self.

When a calling card belonging to the legendary Kid the Phantom Thief is found in a warehouse belonging to an illustrious family in Hokkaido, Conan's interest is piqued: why has a great thief well-known for his pursuit of precious gems set his eyes on swords dating back to the great Edo period? Meanwhile, the discovery of a body with a cross slashed across its chest leads to the "Merchant of Death", an arms dealer who has his eyes set on an even greater treasure. With Conan and his fellow detective Heiji Hattori both hot on his trail, the exciting battle for treasure begins!
