With 7.8 million viewers tuning in live for its return, Birds of a Feather, is the most successful British TV comedy show to hit ITV since 2000. Twitter was all of a flutter with Birds of a Feather chatter with great comments such as ‘the chemistry between those three is fabulous’, ‘‘#BOAF was brilliant. So glad its back!’, ‘Birds of a Feather was so funny last night’ and finally ‘British sitcom at its best!’. The excellent ratings keep on coming with 6.9 million tuning in live for Episode 2 and 6.2 million live for Episode 3 so this series of Birds of A Feather continues to be a success and satisfy the nation’s hunger for a good comedy.
The fabulous Chigwell Ladies, Tracey, Sharon and of course Dorien, have truly been welcomed back into our living rooms across the land.

It has been nearly 15 years since we last saw the Chigwell Three but their wit and charm has not diminished during that time. So where are the girls now?

As the series begins, we catch up with the ladies who are currently living separate lives. Tracey, who is no longer with Darryl, has recently divorced her money grabbing second husband and is living with her 17 yr. old pampered son Travis, who has aspirations of becoming a barrister. Sharon, meanwhile, barely exists in a tiny flat/hovel, which leaves a lot to be desired, spending her days working at Essex’s leading “everything’s a pound” chain, World of Quid.

And Dorien what can we say? She is trying to maintain her caviar cougar lifestyle having written the best-selling erotic memoir “60 Shades of Green” under the alias Foxy Cohen. But with an impending court case, Dorien finds herself needing a roof over her head.

Against her better judgment, Tracey offers Sharon and Dorien a place to stay. With an already full house, her son Garth (Matt Willis) unexpectedly returns from Australia with a girlfriend and stepdaughter in tow. With all of these personalities under one roof, the piercing one liners and scathing put downs are soon flying fast and furious!

Where do we start? Cutting put-downs from Dorien; one-liners galore; relatable dramas and a constant hilarious one upmanship between Dorien and Sharon, Birds of a Feather has truly returned on form. This kind of humour is right up our streets and it has shown us how much we missed having the Birds in our lives - it's like a long lost friend has returned!
