WHO ARE FETCH PUBLICITY AND FETCH FRIENDS?
Fetch Publicity and Fetch Friends are trading names for a publicity company based in the UK that is run by Fetch Dynamic Limited a company registered in England and Wales, whose registered office is at 151 Wardour Street, London, W1F 8WE, registered number 08029966, VAT number GB135 3838 08. For legal purposes, Fetch Publicity and Fetch Friends are known as the 'data controller'.
HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION?
We will gather all the information we need to in order to contact you about an entertainment title or product or talent that we represent that we would like you to consider generating coverage for.
For example if we would like you to consider running a review or other form of coverage in print, online or broadcast we may use your name, email and contact phone number. This would also apply if we ask you to consider feature or talent interview coverage.
In another example if we select for you to receive or you ask to receive a review disc or product we may use your name, email, postal address and contact phone number.
If we select for you to receive or you ask to receive a link to video, audio, image or text content we may use your name, email and contact phone number.
As with all sensitive data we keep all of these details securely in our systems.
We will store your contact details in the cases where you opt in to receive PR communications from us. There are several ways you might do this, for example:
using an online form
giving your details to our team in person or on the phone and explicitly telling them you want to receive emails.
when entering a competition and asking us to send you emails.
You can opt out of our bulk email contact system at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or opt out of any marketing by contacting us.
Using Cookies on our website
If you are just visiting our site and are not logged in to any of our services (such as Fetch Friends) then the only cookies that will be used will be for Google Analytics, which helps us to improve the content of our site. If you are logged in to any of our services (such as Fetch Friends) then we will use cookies to verify your login session. This allows you to remain logged in and avoids the need for you to enter your password every time you use the service.
WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR DATA?
Primarily we use the data you provide to us to generate coverage on behalf of our clients by us contacting you for initial interest and then further engaging and assisting as needed until you have everything you need from us to fulfil what you have decided to do with the title or product in question that we have contacted you about.
We use your e-mail address and/or social media contact form (direct messaging etc as per each platform) and/or phone number to contact you and update you with further information as needed if you are interested in such engagement.
When you agree to have us send something to you via an e-mail link or through the post or a courier we use your e-mail and/or postal address to fulfil this.
The legal basis we use for processing data for contacting you is called 'legitimate interest'.
When you opt in to receive communications from us :
We use any data you provide to us (at any time) as way to send you the most relevant PR information. For example:
So that you can run a promotion to give away copies of a film or a product that we represent that we feel may be of interest to you.
So that you can write a feature or get access to talent for an interview opportunity.
So that we can provide you with still images or video clips that you may like to consider using as part of your coverage.
If you have never run any coverage based on a title or product that we have represented or engaged with us to request materials, but you have opted in to receive our communications by email or any other method the legal basis for processing is called 'consent'.
We will keep personal data unless you tell us you no longer wish to receive communications from us, in which case we will delete your contact information from our database.
SHARING YOUR DATA
We do not share your data with any third party outside of the Fetch Dynamic Ltd.
We may from time to time pass some data to third parties in order for them to fulfil services for us, but they can only use this data to fulfil those services for us and cannot pass it on, use it to fulfil services for other companies, or use it for their own interests. The types of companies we use are, for example:
Courier companies.
Online retailers (to fulfil prizes for promotions that you have elected to take part in.
Screening theatres if they require security clearance for you to attend a screening that you have agreed to attend.
Hotel or venue where we may be holding an event that you have agreed to attend.
A talent agent who represents talent who you have agreed to interview for coverage.
A client who may send you a disc, screening link or product directly to you for review or consideration that you have consented to.
We are also obliged to pass your personal data onto a legal authority if instructed to do so under certain circumstances, for example, for the prevention of crime.
YOUR RIGHTS RELATING TO PERSONAL DATA
You have the right to access your personal data (to ask us what information we hold about you).
You have the right to ask for your data to be deleted or corrected.
You have the right to ask us to stop processing your data.
You have the right to stop receiving marketing and communications from us.
