Out on:DVD 6th April 2015

Fast sell:

The creator of The Blair Witch Project, Eduardo Sánchez, returns to found-footage horror, the sub-genre he defined back in ’99 and proves he can still terrify audiences with his masterful ability and technique to create high levels of suspense.

This time around, Sánchez turns the lens on America’s favourite monster – Bigfoot, and as Exists’ gang of doomed road-trippers is about to discover, this Sasquatch is the most terrifying incarnation ever seen on screen.

Key talent:

Samuel Davis (Machete Kills, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For)
Dora Madison Burge (Dexter, The Loft)
Roger Edwards (The Retrieval, Bad Kids Go To Hell)
Denise Williamson (Cherry Bomb, Friday Night Lights)
Chris Osborn (The Vampire Diaries, Enemy of the Mind)
Brian Steele (Anchorman 2, Hellboy)

Eduardo Sánchez (The Blair Witch Project)

Synopsis:

When a group of friends head into the remote Texas woods for a weekend of non-stop partying, their car hits a huge mysterious animal, which quickly disappears back into the darkness.

But as the gang arrives at an isolated cabin, one of them realizes that the woods are home to a bloodthirsty Bigfoot, and it’s only a matter of time before he seeks them out.

Soon enough, their weekend trip turns into a terrifying ordeal of survival of the fittest…

We like it because:

Though it’s been 15 years since The Blair Witch Project, Eduardo Sánchez has barely missed a step when it comes to found-footage horror. Using just a dark space, POV shot, and suspect noises in the distance, Sánchez proves that he’s still a master of unsettling suggestion – making this one found-footage worthy of the Blair Witch legacy.

It’s also great to see Bigfoot get his turn to play the bad-guy to such blood-curdling effect. Though a longtime figure of family-friendly fun on film, everyone’s favourite mythical monster has been just waiting for the right movie to come along to make him a believable and brutal villain.

With Sánchez at the helm, a cast of promising stars, and a monster of such giant standing, this is a terror-ride of savage suspense not to be missed!
